4 Tricks To Manage Your Day Job And Your Side Hustle

1. Have A Solid Plan In Place.

Even the best-laid plans can go sideways. How much more if you don’t plan at all? You’re going to find it extremely hard to succeed!

To give yourself the best chance at success, you should ideally have a short-term goal and a long-term goal. For your short-term goals, you can plan out your week or your month. For long-term goals, think about where you want your side hustle to be in 3 years or 5 years. Do you think you’ll be leaving your job by then? If yes, then make it into one of your long-term goals.

For every milestone you achieve, reward yourself. After all, it’s not easy working on a side hustle when you’ve got a full-time day job, too!

2. At The End Of The Day, It’s All About Time Management.

Let’s face it – having a side hustle along with a full-time job may leave you flat-tired at the end of the day. But if you’re looking to make both work, then know that it’s very much possible. You just need to know how to manage your time!

Let's do some calculating. Let's say, you work from 9am to 5pm.. you can factor in time before or after your shift to work on your side hustle. Say, you can work from 5:30pm to 10:30pm on your side job. And then on weekends, you can work on your side business the whole day if you like.

3. Learn To Make Sacrifices Early On.

Whether you like it or not, you will be making sacrifices. You may need to cut down on some of your favorite things to do on your days off. Before, your weekends may have been dedicated to Netflix and chillin or kicking it with ya friends. While you don’t need to transform into a complete home body, you may need to seriously cut back on the fun stuff, and zero in on getting to your your side hustle!

4. Let Your 9-5 Fund Your Dream.

You’re free to do whatever you want with your extra money. However, if you want your side hustle to be taken a little more seriously, then it’s best to save up and invest then RE-invest.
